who joined many former Rats in the formation of the inaugural winners of the Australian Rugby Competiton (ARC) Central Coast Rays. Jason is a formidable opponent in any rugby competiton and is a welcome addition to the Rats in 2011.

Pek Cowan

Aged 25. Prop or Hooker. Played Junior rugby with the Newport Club and Warringah Colts Pek made his debut for the Wallabies against Italy in Melbourne in 2009

and added two further Test caps in the domestic season. He forms part of a strong front row combination at the Emirates Western Force.

Powerfully built and physical at the breakdown, Cowan made just one appearance in his first two seasons with the WA side before establishing himself as a regular in the run on team with a series of commanding performances in the number 1 jersey in the past three seasons.

'Pekka' has followed the Australian Rugby development pathway with huge success, having graduated from Schoolboys to national level via Australian Under 21's within six years.

A local junior the 22 year Hugh Pyle made is debut in 1st Grade in 2009

as a result of some fine performance the very tall Hugh was awarded an Academy contract with the ACT Brumbies for Season 2010, where he has excelled playing with the Brumbie Runners.

Sadly Hugh missed most of the 2010 Season through injury, but has come back strongly as a starting lock for the Melbourne Rebels in the 2011 Super 15 Rugby Series.

Luke Holmes

It could be said that the 26 year old Hooker is the best player around not playing Super Rugby on a regular basis.

A local junior and former Western Force Hooker Luke is contracted to the new Super 15 franchise the Melbourne Rebels. He is mobile, skillful and a great bloke to boot and his inclusion in the Warringah 1st XV when available is music to the ears of all Rats supporters.
