Tackling Violence Workshop – Wednesday 17 July 2019
Warringah Rugby Clubhouse
Cross code rivalries will be set aside next week as local rugby union clubs, The Warringah Rats and Newport Breakers, join the Avalon Bulldogs A-Grade rugby league side to tackle domestic violence at a workshop to be delivered by the Education Centre Against Violence (ECAV). The workshop titled “Being a positive role model” focuses on educating players on the various types and impacts of family and domestic violence and builds their capacity to be advocates for positive change in the community. As Tackling Violence Ambassadors for each club, players will learn how to challenge behaviours and attitudes towards domestic violence and generate meaningful culture change on the Northern Beaches.
If you are interested in attending this workshop, please email Jonathon Noyes Health Promotion Officer at Health NSW on email@example.com.
